Inspired by the colors of the SPCA (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) building in San Francisco, I chose the contrasting teal and red velvet for my first set of models.
Perhaps a preponderance of pussycats popping through portals would please people perfectly poised to purchase this product to pamper their prized pets!

the process
With 3 weeks at our disposal, we were tasked to research existing combs and similar products. I found an opportunity to design out-of-the-box by choosing pets as my target demographic. We were expected to make a looks-like model of our finished product which exercised my rapid prototyping skills.
the conclusion
After the project, I got to play with color schemes and fasteners for customer assembly.
